Nigeria: Thank God for the British

If not for the British who colonized us, we may never have seen light. At least they didn't wipe us out as another ungodly nation may have done and that was the norm then.
If not for the British, we may never have had anything like Nigeria, a nation blessed with people and different peoples really.
In Nigeria, you would see Muslims and Christians living together as brothers and sisters, even during politically influenced religious wars, you would see Muslims protecting Christians in their homes and Christians likewise in the south. The people who don't want one Nigeria are in the minority, the majority of Nigerians want one nation, under God and I think as long as we've been having peace for most parts of the year, we really need to be thankful.
If not for Nigeria, we would not have have the strongest and largest armed forces in West Africa which is helping to maintain peace both in Nigeria and West Africa. If there was no Nigeria, we may not have been existing up till now but we really need to be thankful for this nation blessed by God.
Our unity is much greater than our divisions and I think we would continue to grow having passed 50 years!
