I had been hearing about the MTN Caller back feature which is a free service that allows you to prompt someone to call you instead of you calling him or her. It is a kind of official flashing service MTN provides to Nigerian customers who have been used to flashing their relatives and friends especially when they are out of credit or just want to send a text to the person when he is not reachable.
MTN's call me back service is a free based service and works even when you have no credit on your sim. It works by prompting MTN to send a text message on your behalf to you contact urging the person to call your back. To send and MTN call me back text message, here is how you do it:
- Just Dial *133*person's number#
- You receive a screen confirmation that it has been successfully sent
- The Contact receives an sms within seconds in the format "Please call me"MTN's call me back now comes with an even extended service that sends various forms of sms depending on your requests:
Dial: *133*1*Recipient's Number#
For example, *133*1*08031234567#
MTN will immediately send a text message, "Please call me. I love you." To 08031234567Dial: *133*2*Recipient's Number#
For example, *133*2*08031234567#
MTN will immediately send a text message, "Please send me credit." to 08031234567Dial: *133*3*Recipient's Number#
For example, *133*3*08031234567#
